"ACS has been a godsend to our family. When my son first came to the center, at nearly 2 years of age, he was not hitting his milestones in regard to communication and was restricted in what he would eat. Nearly a year later, he can now say short phrases, loves to sing, can recognize shapes, letters, numbers, and has noticeably expanded the foods he's willing to eat. I can't say enough great things about the BCBA support, Jane Hornett, and therapists. ACS is a truly phenomenal ABA therapy center."
"The decision to start ABA therapy for our 15 year old son was a tough one. He had done ABA as a child and successfully transitioned back into a school setting, so we were familiar with the process. But as a young adult, we were concerned about these new behaviors, which are very different than child behaviors, and also worried about his skill levels at this age. Thankfully our team at ACS was prepared to help us. Jane has a very strong stance on creating and fostering that independence and she saw me though many tearful conversations! We were paired with a fantastic ABA Therapist who immediately became my son's buddy. They work so well together! His BCBA was such a great resource and team member as well! With this team, we developed a plan that included a mix of In-Clinic, In-Home, and In-School therapy. Academically, he's now in the middle tier resource classes, and he's participating on his own every day. He has friends and gained social skills to navigate those early high school friendships and situations."
"When our son was heading into his preteen years we were sort of thrown out of his center with not many options. We were scared and lost. This just so happened to be the time when our son was really struggling and as soon as I talked to Jane on the phone at ACS I knew this would likely be the place to help us. After touring and officially signing up our son was really having a hard time and Jane was available to us even before he started at the center to offer help. ACS isn’t just another ABA center. We’ve had 2 therapists and both have been amazing and I think that’s a testimony to Jane and how the center is run. Good quality therapists who care about our son want to work for a center who cares. That trickles down. We can’t recommend ACS enough!
My 7 yr old daughter has been in ABA since she was 3. She had been in 3 facilities prior to coming to ACS. One of the facilities said they had taken her as far as they could and were discontinuing services. She was only 4! I was shocked! I am so thankful I decided to make the transition to ACS. The staff are all on the same team and in total communication with one another. All therapists are familiar with all the children and their programs. The communication with me as a parent is amazing! I always know what is being worked on with my daughter and I am given training to continue those things at home. This is the first time I, as a parent, have been included in the treatment plan for my child. My daughter has grown and exceeded expectations due to the consistency of therapy she has received. Aug 1st of this year, my daughter entered school in the 2nd grade.
“In just 6 months at ACS our sweet girl has grown tremendously. Her language has surpassed what we ever knew was possible and her newfound skills are plentiful. We are beyond thankful to our friends at ACS and all they’ve done for our family."
